the carlson family

i've known carlsons for years.  they were brave enough way back when i was starting out to let me practice on them.  it was so fun doing their portraits now that their kiddos are so grown up!  they woke up early on a saturday morning to capture these portraits...  we had great weather and a gorgeous location!

the deere family

here's the deeres :)   i always think there should be some sort of tractor in their pictures... (with a name like that!)   i've had the chance to do their family portraits for three or four years now. gorgeous friend of mine! we decided to hit katherine albertson park for their session this time. i forget how amazing that park is. just a hint of fall color coming out when we were there.  beautiful family!  thank you friends!

the westover family

long long time friends of ours.... from down in sunny ARIZONA! it's always a treat to see the same families year after year. I do get to see the westovers now that we both live in idaho but not as often as we'd like to! it's so fun to see how much the children change year after year. this year they decided to ditch the colder, less predictable october weather. much more pleasant!

the gartman family

i loved this shoot! what a fun family - lots of personality... eagle island is fast becoming a favorite for many! i loved that they brought different outfits and really had fun with color. Especially the BSU shot. (Dad is a USC fan so he reluctantly threw on the blue & orange :) Go Broncos!

the price family

well i will say those families who are willing to get outdoors and do family portraits in the winter are troopers! bribery often comes into play too :) these cute boys didn't seem to mind too much. you may have seen this family before. it was fun to take their portraits and see how much their little guy had grown... he didn't want to sit still so we had fun chasing him. i was playing peek-a-boo with him in one of the family poses and he really enjoyed it! couldn't see his eyes after that!

the nelson family

this family wins the award for my COLDEST SESSION SO FAR. it was windy and freezing, but they were all good sports and we made the best of it! the kids were champions... and were so glad when it was over! i think we got some great shots of them with the barn.

the elam family

pretty handsome group here... and they were always finding great spots to take pictures! we had a lot of fun running all over the boise depot. i always thought the track was dormant but right after our time on the tracks, a big ole' train came rumbling past! thanks for a fun shoot guys!
