let it snow! the shoemaker family

i have to say one of my favorite things about taking portraits has been to see families gather from all over the country for the holidays... this family was GREAT! i really enjoyed working with them. we started in the lobby of the grove hotel then moved outdoors to the very snowy depot. they were great sports and i'm sure they had a wonderful holiday with everyone home for christmas!

baby portraits are becoming a new favorite for me! is this baby adorable or what? at four days old she was still pretty alert... i love her beautiful black hair!

the kendall family

our first shoot had to be cancelled because of the snow/sleet weather we had so we were SO happy for nicer weather over the thanksgiving break! the depot is one of my favorite spots and has been recently renovated. things were going GREAT until the very end when my camera decided to stop operating. it's now on it's way to the canon service department... bummer!

the BIG hessing family

thanksgiving is such a great time to be together with family! this family hadn't had a big group photo taken for years... so with all of them home for the holiday it was a great chance to catch them all in one photo. of course i prefer the "little people" in every group so i had fun taking pictures of the youngest ones! such a nice family...

the deere family

back to downtown boise... we lucked out and slipped in a night with no rain this week! this is a great family who just recently moved here from tucson, arizona. we had to move fast because with all the clouds it got dark fast!





















i had to stick this funny one in there of the kids. they weren't smiling for us so mom and dad decided to help out in that department. i guess it worked! :)

baby capri

we did capri in two sessions on the same day because she was so wide awake at the beginning! she slept pretty well for us though later in the day... she's a doll!

the rich family

this shoot ended with a horrible wasp attack! half of the family was stung more than once... good thing we got some good shots before that happened. watch out those of you who like to hang out down by the river in eagle!
